This Is Me

One creature — every key wiggles a part of it, and you name what moved.

What your kid practises: Body schema and naming body parts

This one is still a dream

Why we made it

Press a key and one part of the creature wiggles — an ear, a knee, a tummy. The toy never says the word; you do, out loud, together. That is the collection’s rule: the toy shows, the parent names.

The keyboard maps to the body, top to bottom — top rows move the head, bottom rows the toes. It is the same row rule Palm Grove uses, so the child learns the mapping once and it carries over.

At two, knowing where the nose, the ears and the feet live is real work. A creature that answers every key gives that work a silly, patient mirror.

How to play together

  1. 1Sit together and press any key — one part of the creature wiggles.
  2. 2Say what moved: the nose! the knee! The naming is yours, not the toy’s.
  3. 3Try the top row for the head and the bottom row for the toes, and watch the mapping click.

Good to know

The toy runs in a browser tab, so a curious kid can still find these:

  • Ctrl+Alt+Del — Windows always lets that through.
  • The browser’s tabs and address bar (unless you use the kiosk launcher from GitHub).
  • Swiping in from the screen edge on touchscreens.
