Kosmoabetka

Fly a little cosmonaut with the arrow keys. The letters you meet speak.

What your kid practises: Confident arrow keys, first Ukrainian letters

We’re building this one right now

Why we made it

A two-year-old cannot fail this toy. The four arrow keys fly a little cosmonaut — up, down, left, right: no walls, no score, no wrong press. Every other key just makes him spin, wave or bounce.

Letters drift by among the stars and planets. Fly close and a letter says its sound, then a word that starts with it. Put in your child’s name and its letters visit five times more often.

After ten minutes the cosmonaut gets tired, flies to his rocket and falls asleep. It is an ending a two-year-old can accept — no sudden stop, no tears.

How to play together

  1. 1Set a full-size external keyboard in front of your child and move the laptop out of reach.
  2. 2Press ПОЧАТИ together, then hand over the arrows — the whole keyboard is safely theirs.
  3. 3Name whoever they meet out loud, and record your own voice in the parent panel — at two it beats any robot.

Good to know

The toy runs in a browser tab, so a curious kid can still find these:

  • Ctrl+Alt+Del — Windows always lets that through.
  • The browser’s tabs and address bar (unless you use the kiosk launcher from GitHub).
  • Swiping in from the screen edge on touchscreens.
