Why we made it

This is the only toy in the collection that goes first. The creature sings, then puts its ears up and listens — your turn, my turn, the shape of conversation before words.

There is no right answer. One key is a complete turn, forty keys is a complete turn, and every one gets a friendly reply — in the child’s own rhythm, pauses included.

It never nags and never talks over your child. Press anything and it goes quiet mid-phrase, every time — the creature is the one modelling good listening.

How to play together

1Let the creature sing first, then invite any press at all — it echoes the notes and the rhythm back.
2Say “your turn” and “my turn” out loud, without turning them into instructions.
3Watch for the pause — hands off, eyes on the screen, waiting for the reply. That’s turn-taking arriving.

Good to know

The toy runs in a browser tab, so a curious kid can still find these:

Ctrl+Alt+Del — Windows always lets that through.
The browser’s tabs and address bar (unless you use the kiosk launcher from GitHub).
Swiping in from the screen edge on touchscreens.
